Dana M. McNabb
Group President, North America Retail
Dana McNabb leads the North America Retail (NAR) segment which serves consumers across the U.S. and Canada. The NAR team nurtures beloved and iconic brands like Pillsbury, Nature Valley, Cheerios, Annie’s, Yoplait, Totino’s and Old El Paso which can be found in grocery retailers, convenience stores and online.
Prior to leading NAR, Dana served as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer with global accountability for the company’s strategic approach to long-term growth. McNabb assumed this role after serving as Group President of our Europe & Australia segment since January 2020. Previously, she served as President of the U.S. Cereal Operating Unit, which includes brands like Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Chex, Lucky Charms and Wheaties. She joined the U.S. cereal team in 2015 as the Vice President of Marketing for the Circle of Champions Business Unit and was promoted to President of the unit in 2016. In 2019, in addition to leading Cereal, McNabb served as interim President for the U.S. Snacks Operating Unit.
McNabb started with General Mills in the Canadian Division and her marketing experience has spanned our major businesses, including Cereals, Snacks, Meals and Dairy. She also has extensive global experience. In addition to her time leading our Europe & Australia segment, she has lived and worked in both Sydney and London and served as Vice President of Global Marketing for Cereal Partners Worldwide, the General Mills cereal joint venture with Nestle based in Switzerland.
Currently, McNabb serves on the board of directors for 4-H, the largest youth development organization in the United States, is on the board for Partners in Food Solutions, a non-profit focused on strengthening food security, improving nutrition and increasing economic development across Africa, and is also on the board of directors for FMI, The Food Industry Association representing suppliers, retailers and wholesale communities with an emphasis on innovation. Additionally, she is an executive sponsor of General Mills’ Women’s Leadership Network, which empowers all women at all levels, in all functions, around the globe to thrive.
McNabb holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and earned her MBA at the London School of Business.
