Discover ‘The Magic Inside’ this St. Patrick’s Day
Lucky Charms is taking the magic of breakfast to the bookshelf with Lucky’s first-ever storybook.
The Story of Lucky
For the very first time, Lucky the Leprechaun is taking you on the journey of how he discovered his magic, introducing you to his home, friends and family, in The Magic Inside.
Through the pages, you’ll discover that being both magical and non-magical is what makes Lucky uniquely him.
The book includes 10 captivating chapters made for third grade/intermediate readers just in time to celebrate Lucky’s favorite holiday and birthday, St. Patrick’s Day.

Additionally, 3,000 copies will be donated to Little Free Libraries around the U.S.
“We're also surprising Little Free Library stewards with Lucky-inspired décor kits, so they can decorate for St. Patrick’s Day and help families around the nation celebrate,” adds Needham.
By the end of 2022, Lucky Charms will fund 20 new Little Free Libraries in underserved communities where books are scarce. The libraries are being placed through Little Free Library's Impact Library Program in an effort to increase book access for all readers.
Teaming up with Taye
To celebrate Lucky’s book release, Lucky Charms teamed up with Taye Diggs – dad, singer, actor and children’s book author – for a live reading of the first chapter on Lucky Charms’ Instagram.
One fan, Maria R., asked "if you could add any charm to Lucky Charms, what would it be?"
Taye said, "a top hat!"
If you missed it, don’t worry! The magic doesn’t stop there. You and your family can join Diggs in a virtual read-along produced by premier digital media company BuzzFeed, Inc., of the full 10-chapter book at buzzfeed.com/topic/lucky_charms_live_the_legend.

“Reading is something I’ve always been truly passionate about and it’s my favorite way to spend time together with my son,” says Diggs, author of I Love You More Than … and My Friend. “Like Lucky in The Magic Inside, we’ve all felt pulled in different directions or like we didn’t fit in at some point, and to see that struggle reflected in a favorite and magical character is so important for our kids to help them not feel alone as they learn to celebrate what makes them, them.”
A magical cameo
The fun continues with a special Cameo Live featuring Anais & Mirabelle reading the first chapter of The Magic Inside.
