Championing belonging

In this section:

A culture of belonging for all

At General Mills, we believe that creating a culture of belonging is the right thing to do for our employees and for our business. Champion Belonging — a company value — underlines our commitment to fostering an inclusive culture. By championing belonging, we drive progress toward greater inclusion in our workforce, culture and with consumers.

A culture of learning, growing and belonging

Employee networks:

We established our first employee network more than 25 years ago. Our networks are open to all employees, are a critical force in driving our culture of belonging, and offer meaningful professional development, community and connection.

Courageous conversations:

A platform for employees to tackle challenging topics with openness and authenticity. To date, we’ve had more than 30 conversations on a range of topics including mental health, veterans coming home, and more.

Allyship resources:

To ally is to take intentional action, like listening, learning and uplifting those around you to ensure all voices are heard and respected. Developed in 2019, our allyship framework aims to help others begin and continue their journey as allies with practical solutions. This serves as a resource for our employees and beyond.
