General Mills invests in the people, neighborhoods and education of the communities in which we live and work.

The General Mills Foundation was created in 1954 to focus the Company’s philanthropic resources on community needs. The Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations that create sustainable community improvement in the areas of youth nutrition and fitness, social services, education and arts and culture. The General Mills Foundation is based in Minneapolis at the General Mills World Headquarters.

Since the General Mills Foundation was created, it has awarded over $400 million to nonprofit organizations in our communities. In fiscal 2008, the Foundation contributed $21 million in grants in our communities.
