1) Who is eligible to apply?

Organizations such as:
Not-for-profit Organizations
Health Departments
Government Agencies
Schools and School Districts
Native American Tribes

2) If my program previously received a Celebrating Communities of Color grant is my organization eligible to apply again for the same program?

No, programs previously awarded Communities of Color grants are not eligible for 2009 grants. Celebrating Communities of Color grants were designed to be one-time grants to increase their impact on many different nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities area.

3) If my organization has previously received a Celebrating Communities of Color grant are we eligible to apply for a grant for a different program?

Yes, if your organization is requesting funding for a different program, you are eligible for a 2009 Celebrating Communities of Color grant.

4) If my organization applied, but did not previously receive a Celebrating Communities of Color grant are we eligible to apply for a 2009 Celebrating Communities of Color grant?

Yes, if your organization applied, but did not receive a Celebrating Communities of Color grant, you are eligible to apply for a 2009 Celebrating Communities of Color grant for the same program or a different program.

5) If my organization has different programs, can we apply for all of them?

No, please choose only your strongest program for this grants program.

6) Is it acceptable to submit a grant application that is a collaboration between two or more organizations?

Yes. However, you should choose one organization to receive the funds and administer them.

7) What is the purpose of your site visits?

We randomly select organizations for site visits to obtain more details about the organization and/or the program.

8) If my organization submits a proposal, but is not selected for a site visit, am I still eligible to receive a Celebrating Communities of Color grant?

Yes, all applicants, regardless of whether or not they recieve a site visit, will remain eligible for a Celebrating Communities of Color grant.

9) What is the timeline for the 2009 Celebrating Communities of Color grant program?
