Internships

Our Consumer Insights internships serve two purposes. They identify top talent for potential full-time positions at General Mills. They also provide meaningful experiences in the field, helping you learn through projects and assignments.

Our recent Consumer Insights interns have:

  • Led groundbreaking research projects in our snacks division that established a foundation for future advertising, promotions, and product development
  • Reviewed new product launches in the meals arena during the past 10 years to identify themes or reasons around successes and weaknesses, and communicated key insights and implications. Designed a plan for new meals product launches in future.
  • Developed a strategy that identified specific high potential brands, recommending specific targets and clearly articulating their respective needs and purchase motivations. Utilized quantitative and qualitative research to form hypothesis and inputs for quantitative analysis.

Interns network with Consumer Insights professionals and business leaders, who provide an understanding of their role in General Mills' success. Experiencing the innovative environment that makes General Mills an employer of choice, interns engage in a variety of educational and social activities with other General Mills interns throughout the summer.
